General Guide
Laces Generator is a geometry nodes powered solution. Laces are created procedurally on top of a plane mesh. Eyelets are spawned at each vertex of the boundary sides.
Once the modifier is applied the laces become a standard editable mesh.
With the Laces Generator asset there are source objects packaged for eyelets, aglets, lace custom profile and tied/untied laces guides – those can be edited or swapped for your own custom meshes in the Source panel of the modifier.
To cycle through eyelet types use Edge Crease (Shift+E) in edges edit mode.
It’s also possible to mix between Cross and Straight Bar Lacing styles with the Mark Sharp option in the edges edit mode (works only for the standard ring eyelets).
